Donovan has a second  NEW DVD out ) of a successful packed out LA Kodak Theatre on 21st January 2007, which received very good reviews all round!!And the DVD x2 of "The Journey of Donovan" followed in 2009/2010 by an new album and tour turning into a farewell tour in 2010. Donovan also released a single with an friend film actress from sixties and France ;- Zouzou and Donovan "Spot the mistake"

'Beat Cafe' - Donovan's latest (New) excellent album!!!!

The New "Try for the Sun" Box Set consisting of 3cd's and a 1970 dvd (40min)Is a great addition to my Donovan collection.
The highlight so far has been the extra out-takes of the "In Concert" 1968 album. Listening to them I can only imagine they were left off due to vinyl time as they are quite superb-additionally the digital remastering is fantastic causing a substantial difference to the overal sound. I thoughley enjoyed the 1968 album.  2cd full length"In concert" WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)-Just been released in the shops!! Sounds superb-well worth a second or third buy of the gig! Brilliant!!!Good price I got too(HMV online)
the tracks ( on "Try for the Sun" that are marked "Mono" (mainly on cd1 ) are superbly remixed/remastered in that kind that the "Old Fashioned Mono" was. The sound seems layered-absolutely worth a revisit if you can rememember 50's & 60's mono .
Some real treasures and remixes with the DVD an excellent documentary of the period on Greek islands travelling by Yacht! I thoughley enjoyed the film.Fantastic!!

'Alantis' (Abbey Records - Durgaoo1)

Starting off with the re-make of the 1969 hit and recent number 6 (German) hit, artists include: Alice Cooper, Rick Wakeman, Dave Gilmour, Brian O'Reilly, Marie Brennan (of Clannad), Danny Thompson, The Open Road, Sharon Shannon, Sir Paul McCartney, Crystal Gale, Jeff Beck Group, No Angels (Atlantis), and his daughter, Astrella (Astrella has her own single out at present on Donovan Discs!!!).

Donovan may not be the news busting flying superstar, but he's never really dipped his standards, although his direction and, of course, the flamboyant days of 'Sunshine Superman' is a distant haze of the sixties.

Yes, the more mature Donovan is different.  The feel is better and more sophisticated, in many ways; not always with the hook or jangle of a riff.  But a more refined, authoratative artist.

Donovan has a place in the 2000s.  His views of the ecosystem, life and spirituality are still needed, by young and old alike. The Tour hopes to help school pupils who suffer from Depression, anxiety and ADHDD as well giving wellbeing to all who participate- Really cool good honest help and support-i think!

Yes!  We need Donovan even more now!

And we've got a great new DVD (Journey of Donovan x2)(Live in La Kodak Theatre), 4 disc boxsett, reissues, autobiography plus concert and radio appearances!!!!

Thanks Donovan!!!! Rocking in 2007 to 2008 with a tour NEWS VIA www.donovan.ie which is having a re construction/adjustments.
